SkillBites provides resources for people to learn important lifestyle and business skills in a fraction of the time that it takes to read a book, take a class or attend a seminar. The resources are designed to be consumed in 20 minutes or less, and are written so that the information is easy to absorb and implement.

How can I get a SkillBites book?
To view our selection or to purchase one of our books, go to either our Business SkillBites or LifeStyle SkillBites page. Soon we will have available hard copies of some of the books for your shelves and audio books for your iPod or mp3 player.

How can I get my book published on SkillBites?

If you have a completed book or a desire to write a book that you would like to publish on SkillBites.net, just click on Authors on the menu bar and follow the steps listed there. You will need to fill out the How do you consider applications?
We invite submissions on any topic, provided that the topic is not directly covered by another SkillBite eBook. We require that our authors have expertise in the subject that they are writing on and demonstrate good writing ability. So we need to hear about you and your book. Please see our
How can I increase my chances of being accepted?
Be thorough and concise in your application. If you have experience related to your book title, be sure list that with your information under ‘Author credentials’ which will tell us (and, if published, your potential readers) more about yourself and your expertise.

We are looking for books that will be of interest to our readers, exhibit accurate content, demonstrate good writing quality, and have well-organized, practical information.

If you have particular goals for your book or ideas of what kind of readers would be interested in your book, please use the ‘Additional information’ field to let us know about your plans. Any additional information you can provide, even if we do not directly request it, would be useful in evaluating your application.

What’s the process?
Once a work has been tentatively accepted for publication, we will send to you the eBook template and Formatting Guide, which will contain instructions for uploading your completed book for editorial review. We will conduct an editorial review, agree on a copyediting process, and ensure that the document is properly formatted for electronic publication. What is your compensation program for authors?

SkillBites pays authors up to 80% of the net revenue received from sales of their works on SkillBites’ website, depending on the Author Package that the author selects. There is also a small monthly fee for continued support. The full compensation program and fees are explained in the Author Guidelines and Author Terms of Service.

Is there a fee?
The fees are outlined in the Author Guidelines, and depend on the package selected by the author. For information on the charges, please see the Author Guidelines.

What is your publishing agreement or author contract?
Our Author Terms of Service are available for review, and must be accepted at the time that an author submits an application.

Who owns the copyright to work published on SkillBites?
The author retains the copyright to his or her work, and grants an exclusive license to SkillBites to sell the work. Authors may sell their works on their own site once the first year service fee has been paid to SkillBites, and may distribute complimentary copies of their eBook.
