Many of you have taken time management courses before, and whether this is a review or refresher or new information, I hope you can glean some very helpful tips and tricks from this ebook that will skyrocket your productivity in the months and years to come. We’ll start with a review for those of you who haven’t taken a Time Management seminar in a while. First, let’s review some basic definitions of Time Management, so we’re all on the same page as we begin.

Time Management is considered a management discipline. However, it’s not typical management in the sense that you can control time. In other words, you can’t manage your time so well that you can create a 30-hour day for yourself. It is, therefore, not classic management, but instead what I like to call self-management. It’s about making choices around time. Now, we don’t have any issue with the amount of time, since everyone has 24 hours in a day. It’s all about choice management, value management, and activity management. It asks us to make use of a valuable commodity.

And time is very valuable, more so than money. If you spend money and want it back, you can often get it back if you return goods. It doesn’t work this way with time. You cannot get time back. In that sense, then, I believe time is more valuable than money. It can, however, be analyzed just like money. Most people spend far more time thinking about how they spend their money than how they spend their time, though, so we’re going to step back today and have you take an objective look at this resource and how you are spending it.
